Of course, Sister Agnes Delourdes ( 1st grade) is a local legend. It never rained on our May Day Processions honoring the Blessed Mother when St. Agnes Delourdes was praying for a sunny day!.And, of course, we had Monsignor Bric standing at the end of the hallway watching us all march in. We had to put our best foot forward when he was present. I also recall fondly many school mates from 1st grade on. Our first communion was on May 21st, 1933 and I still have the prayerbook to prove it. And we were confirmed by Bishop Moses E. Kiley while we were still in the Tranton Diocese.He was only the second Moses that I had ever heard of and the other one lived a long time ago. The education I received has been the foundation of my faith throughout my lifetime. I will always be thankful to God for the Dominican nuns who taught us and molded us at St. Mary's in those long ago years.
